Apollo Publishers is a boutique press located in New York City. Our small team works closely together to acquire, produce, and promote adult nonfiction for a general trade audience.

Internships

We are proud to have a robust internship program for aspiring publishing professionals who are interested in learning more about the industry. Interns work closely with editorial, publicity, sales, marketing, and design to build a solid resume and explore multiple areas of interest. A typical day might include researching independent bookstores, designing a social media post, and drafting descriptive copy for a book jacket. This is an unpaid internship, but we are happy to work with college students to apply the work toward school credit.

Successful candidates for the Apollo internship will be meticulous self-starters with some experience in editing, writing, design, and/or research. Candidates from historically underrepresented groups in the publishing industry are especially encouraged to apply.

Internship openings will be posted about six to eight weeks prior to the start date. However, candidates are welcome to submit a resume and cover letter throughout the year to be kept on file for the next recruitment cycle. Please send your application to careers@apollopublishers.com.
